SPOOF OF “DIRTY HARRY” FILMS HITS BULLSEYE AT FILM FESTS

“Magnum Farce: A Shot in the Park” the computer animated parody of “Dirty Harry” films has won “Best Animated Short” at the 2009 Indie Gathering International Film Festival and is twice nominated at the 2009 Action On Film International Film Festival in “Best Animation” and “Best Spoof” categories where the feature-length screenplay, from which the short was adapted, is also an Official Selection.

“Magnum Farce” is the creation of Ken Mora of Bella Fe Films whose goal is to found “The Pixar of Rated R” by bringing studio-quality animation to the mature film audience of the “Scary Movie” franchise, “Meet The Spartans” and “Epic Movie.”

The screenplay “Magnum Farce” won its fourth top competition award at the 2009 20/20 International Screenplay Competition, having won “Best Comedy Script” at The Indie Gathering, “Best Screenplay” at San Fernando Valley International Film Festival , and “Second Runner-Up” at Beverly Hills International Film Festival.

“Magnum Farce” followers number thousands across FunnyOrDie.com, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter, boosted by fans of cult superstar Will Keenan [Terror Firmer, Tromeo and Juliet, Operation Midnight Climax] who voices Detective Gay, Anime and Gaming megastar Kyle Hebert [Dragonball Z, Naruto, Bleach] as The Sniper, and Matt Godecker [Screw Cupid, All-In, F-Stops] as Magnum-Wielding Detective Dick Hardon.

Ken says "AOF is the ideal venue for the West Coast debut of ‘Magnum Farce’ and Indie Gathering is perfect for its premiere Midwest screening. Both fests and I are huge fans of Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry who set the bar for action films from the seventies onward.” Fans of sexy satire and animation should attend IGFF or AOF and meet Ken Mora and starring talent in person.

Media wishing to interview Ken Mora may contact Bill Hooey at (323) 397-8740.

Mike O'Dea

MARCH 17 2009 (Happy St. Patrick's Day!)

MIKE O'DEA SHOWS US HIS DICK, AND HIS GREEN.

Another big fan of Magnum Farce; Actor/Writer Mike O'Dea, Irish tough guy and star of "Code of Silence." Gearing up for production on a film that starts shooting this year and is touted as 'the most realistic mob movie ever.'

Mike took time out to pose with the shirt that states "To Fight Crime, it takes a Dick, to fight sobriety, it takes the Irish" and features the sneering Detective Dick Hardon. (available as a free Iron-On transfer download).

RE: The prospective movie version of Magnum Farce: "See it? Hell, I'll be first in line, and anyone who tries to take cuts, well, they might not make it home so pretty." jokes Mike in character as Mickey Callahan, boxer and son of an Irish Mobster.

No stranger to sensational publicity, Mike's early film career directing and producing the micro-budget film "Townies" put Mike on the national map with his guerilla shooting style
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edLyKlYiSJA)
in a stunt that landed him on CNN, and in the Boston Courthouse.

Mike is sitting at Boston/Somerville's hot-spot "The Burren" as he scouts locations for the bar scene in "Code of Silence."

Zane Smith

FEBRUARY 21 2009

SHOW US YOUR WHAT?!?!?

Bella Fe Film's Producer/Director Ken Mora has plans to publicize Magnum Farce, his computer-animated spoof of 'Dirty Harry' flicks, featuring Detective Dick Hardon. It starts with the YouTube and MySpace trailer for the webisodes, the first which will premiere two weeks later on FunnyOrDie.com.

"My goal is to fund the full-length movie. The best way to get financieres behind this is to take my concept to the fans." While developing the "Director's Cut" short for film fests, Ken has some controversial publicity planned.

Evidence the "Show Us Your Dick" promotion where fans are invited to download the iron-on graphic for free and make their own T-shirts, or buy the shirts at the online store. They can thenk take pictures of themselves, preferably in public, to share with other fans on the fanpage by emailing them to

Among early adopters of the "I Heart Dick" shirt is Zane Smith, screenwriter of Lionsgate's hit My Bloody Valentine, 3D.

Says Zane, "Hey, Ken's definitely out there and his script is crazy - I think fans of my movie are going to see it. After all, what are the best date movies to go to? Slashers and Laughers!" With over $65 million gross for MBV 3D worldwide and counting, Ken hopes Zane is right about sharing the slasher film's audience. Says Smith, "All I can tell you is that I can't wait to see it!"

Of Ken's expectations on the success and buzz generated by the Magnum Farce webisodes, he states, "The fans know what they want and they'll make it happen." He further quips, "I suspect there are a lot more Dick-heads out there than Hollywood will admit to," a reference to next month's unveiling of the "Dick-Head of the Month," in which one lucky fan, in a Dick Hardon T-shirt, will be featured on the site's Fan Page.
